weekend in review

i really don't have much to post about. the weekend wasn't full of anything too exciting and i bailed on the vip invite in atlantic city with louie.

friday, after work, a bunch of us gathered for our revived happy hour. a couple guys from work hung with us and even big lou made the trip out. happy hour turned into happy a few hour and next thing i know we wind up back at the broke back boys house for what was supposed to be a party. it didn't much matter that there were only four people there and the person that was the most fun was a four year old. we have a good time no matter where we go.

saturday night the two of us headed over to take in a movie. we saw the "inside man", with denzel and a few other fine actors. it was a movie about what was supposed to be a bank robbery, but turned out that the robbery was just a cover. once all the termites munching on their damn popcorn and the pain in the ass wrapper people, i was able to settle in and find the movie very good.

sunday, i planned on taking a ride to delaware to check out some of the building going on down there, but things didn't seem to come together, so i stayed home and did a little more work on the house.

nova and uconn both lost today and i figured that i was totally out of the the bracket picks, but instead i received news that i in fact won kevin's polish pool. how do you like that, a winner is decided before the final four games are even played. is it pathetic or does it just show you that the rankings don't mean as much as they lead to believe? i'm just glad to finally win, i've taken second and third the last two years and didn't ever think i would take the big prize. then again, i was in it against a bunch of people from boston.
