washed out weekend and soft sheets

saturday morn big lou and i headed to www to meet up with chaos, only to get rained out by lunch time. keith showed and after a little inside work, we decided not to have a complete wash out, so we headed over to the light house point. light house point is a marina as well as a bar on the bay. a great place to sit under the tent, drink some beers and stay dry. i hate being wet.

since big lou just purchased a 30ft house boat, we needed to stop by the office so he could check into his new weekend get away. he leased a slip in the marina and i'm sure we will all be meeting him at the bar over there on friday nights to kick off many weekends. once the paperwork was final, we headed over to the bar to grab a few beers and some eats. just so happened that they were having a geriatric beef and beer and it wasn't really our crowd, but do you think that stopped us? chaos stayed for a quick one and just as he was leaving, the old bitty came around with the fitty fitty, so we all bough a few wrinkles worth. since chaos was leaving, he handed me his tickets to claim his prize if he won. and don't you know 601240 was the winning ticket and was one of chaos's tickets. ain't that some shit! just so seems that whenever someone lets me hold their tickets, those tickets always hit. about a month back, at the company golf outing, a few guys handed me their tickets. i threw them all together and wound up winning three prizes equaling approximately $1600.

now that big lou has his new boat, e is looking for names and could use a little help. it is a little house boat that sleeps about four people and is going to be his weekend getaway. if you guys have any ideas, let me know. looks like next weekend he is going to take ownership of this vessel and we are going to take a seven hour tour from croydon, pa to wildwood, nj. oughta be a good trip with a heck of a lot of stories.

as all three of you have read, i recently got a new bed. since the bed was new, i had to get some new sheets. i have been looking for two weeks and i can't seem to find the correct fit. i have found colors and prints that i like, but there is a third thing that has been thrown into the loop. i have been turned on to this thing they call thread count. here i was thinking that sheets were just sheets and they were all pretty much the same. was i effing wrong or what.

up until lately, i think i was sleeping on sheets with about a 200 thread count, which is much like sleeping on 80 grit sandpaper. a few months ago i had the privilege to sleep on a set of sheets that were a 600 count and let me tell you that i felt like i was sleeping on satin. all i wanted to do was rub my bare ass all over the sheets. now that i've been looking for sheets, this thread count thing has really come into play. i've found sheets that i like, but they don't have a high count. i am now realizing that i don't want to settle for anything lower than a count of about 800 to 1000. if there are higher counts and you know where i can find them, please let me know. the softer, the better! if there is a way to crawl up the silkworms ass and sleep, spread the cheeks i'm heading in.

Congrats to Chaos, how much did he win?
JB is the one to talk to about the thread count, she's the expert!

I'm thinking "Mantown" or "Big Lou's Lounge" for names of the boat. You should probably get that rash checked out if you've got to be rubbing your bare ass all over your sheets. What's wrong with scratching?

to piggy back on Jo Jo's thoughts, how about "Big Lou's Mobil Lounge"...since he can just take it out in the water and go wherever he wants.

I think Big Lou should go with "Aquaholic".

Naming your boat is not easy, Chaos and I had a very hard time coming up with something we liked. Jr and TF suggested Aquaholic also, but we saw alot of boats named that........I wonder why???
For those of you that don't know, our boat is named, "THE CHAOS".

i'm not sure about aquaholic, but i am still for c-sik. to tell the story behind the name, when tbone and chaos set out on the ferry to deleware to purchase their new boat, they both wound up tossing their cookies. is there a better name than that?

The Captain got sea-sick when we were in Jamaica too. Makes you wonder why he has a boat?

If we stick to the backbays, it's no problem, Jamaca was crazy!!

I'm pretty sure both times I was sick there 20'-30'swells. At least it seemed that way and at least I didn't get sick standing on the deck like my brother.

Papple, my favorite sheets ever were from Eddie Bauer. I've had Pottery Barn sheets and i'm not impressed... Sometimes yoiu can get a high threadcount at Marshall's and Ross...for less!
